DUB CREW ROOMS

Crew rooms at Dublin Airport

More than 400 million passengers have travelled through Dublin Airport since that first flight took off in 1940. The old terminal, which is a listed building, is still partially used for daily passenger operations and many of the internal design features of the building have been retained as a reminder of those early days of aviation.

Dublin Airport is the main gateway for tourists and students traveling to Ireland, receiving around 32 million passengers a year and offering flights to more than 200 destinations in 44 countries. Like the Irish economy, the airport took off between the 80s and 90s, and today it is already the 12th largest in Europe.

The National Aviation Policy sets out key goals; that Dublin Airport develops into a leading secondary European hub and signature projects in the future, such as the second runway, will enable this and; to improve access to Dublin Airport.

Dublin Airport (along with Shannon Airport in western Ireland) are the only ones in Europe to have a US immigration unit. Thus, passengers traveling to the United States already go through American passport control before even boarding the plane.
