About Heathrow Airport
Book with Stayviation, if you are looking for good-quality, well-equipped accommodation within easy reach of London Heathrow Airport.
London Heathrow Airport was just built on the site of a small airfield in 1930. 16 years later, it was rebuilt and expanded and named ‘London Airport’ in 1946 and later renamed ‘Heathrow’ in 1966.
Owned by Heathrow Airport Holdings, Heathrow is the UK’s busiest airport. It handles over 84 million passengers across four terminals.
Further expansion is set to go ahead in the coming years. A 5th runway will be added, along with improvements to the terminals. The approximate investment of £1.3 billion will enable the airport to handle an additional 60 million passengers by 2035.
