INTRO WEEK of your TRT? Then this beautiful home is PERFECT for you and your colleague. Hot tub at the end of the day? An added bonus to staying with us which has been a hit with so many of the cadets that have enjoyed staying with us over the years.

Our wonderfully spacious home, which is based in a beautiful village is PERFECT if you are bringing/hiring a car as there are so many beautiful places to see in the area and it’s ONLY an apprx 12 min car ride away from the Ryanair Training Facilities where there is plenty of FREE parking.

If you prefer to relax on the bus then it’s perfect for your INTRO WEEK as the bus stop is a 1 minute walk away and the ride is just wonderful as it takes you through beautiful English countryside! Please note that the bus runs for 12 hours a day but for the odd pick up, my husband and I are happy to come get you.

There are 2 rooms are available in our home. One has a small double bed and the other has a king size bed (and air conditioning).

We have two wonderful dogs who just love to see people. They can be a little cheeky but just love the attention when you are in the living area.

The village boasts 2 shops, an award winning takeaway (a chip shop) all within a 5 minute walk. We have 3 pubs/restaurants within a 10 minute walk and a few more just a short drive away. We are located 1 minute away from a 24 hour bus route directly to the airport (EMA) and a bus and train route in around 1hr45 mins to (BHX) Airport.

If you have had a busy day and need some down time, just a short walk from the house we have a beautiful woodland walk with streams and the 12th century Grace Dieu priory ruins. A short drive we have Beacon Hill country park which are stunning on a lovely sunny day. In fact we have that many beautiful walks we are very lucky.

This is perfect accommodation for cadets and pilots, staying at EMA (East Midlands Airport) between flights, on standby, studying on their Type Rating Training, on an OCC course, undergoing a Command Upgrade or SIMS Refresher training.

Excellent stay in EMA at Louise and Gavin’s house.
They did not hesitate to pick me up when I arrived late at the airport and they have been very kind/helpful during my whole stay.
The house was modern, well equipped and comfortable. We instantly feel at home.
Enzo and Lily are 2 adorable dogs, very sociable. I recommend 100%. A big thank you !

Accommodation was very clean, comfortable and relaxing. Room it’s self was large, with very nice view. All you could need for study and relax. Lots of space for clothes and bed was very comfortable. Basically had my own bathroom for the stay, Kitchen clean and well equipped.
Host’s were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended for Pilots or Cadets in EMA. Location is well connected with bus or a short drive. Also had two very friendly, lovely dogs. Thank you for the stay. 🙂 – 5***** – Joe (June 2024)

Louise and Gavin are incredible hosts! Always willing to go above and beyond to help. The dogs are beautiful and so friendly. I couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation to do part of my type rating in. The house was immaculate the rooms were amazing and cosy. Louise and Gavin are both extremely welcoming individuals always ready for a chat and beer if required. I will always stay here if I can whenever I comeback to East Midlands.
